About the course

COURSE outline

Our Sports Massage Therapy Diploma and Certificate is taught over a weekly format or over long weekends depending on the course dates selected.
Both course formats require independent reading and massage practise to be completed prior to training assessments.
Pre-course reading is also required and will be sent out in good time prior to course start dates.
Due to the nature of massage therapy, a large proportion of the course is practical-based allowing you to gain as much hands-on practice and confidence as possible.

Our courses are taught using a hands-on approach, therefore you will be providing massage therapy throughout the teaching days, whilst receiving ongoing input from the tutor.

Course delivery is supported via  an online student revision platform, which has access to all course material, power-point talk through videos and practical demonstration videos. However students are also welcome to record any practical demonstrations during face to face delivery also.

You will work with different members of the group throughout the weeks (subject to COVID restrictions) to acquire experience massaging different body types and the different ways people hold muscle tension. This will provide experience in adjusting the depth of massage to fit different needs.
