Pregnancy Massage for Sports and Clinical Therapy
Our accredited day CPD course in Pregnancy Massage for Sport and Clinical Therapy is designed for therapists who would like to safely adapt their sports and clinical therapy treatment for the pregnant client.
This course will discuss contra-indications for the pregnant client, whilst reviewing effective treatment positions for pregnancy. Treatment pressures and adaptations within massage will be reviewed along with additional techniques.
This CPD course will develop practical and theoretical skills necessary for Clinical Therapy treatment during pregnancy.
This CPD short course is accredited by the FHT and the STO and is insurable via Balens and BGI UK.

GEORGINA Robinson BSC (HONS), SST
Georgina graduated from the University of Worcester with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Therapy. During her time at University Georgina worked with Worcester Warriors Rugby and Academy, Worcester Wolves Basketball and National Taekwondo, providing pitch side medical cover and clinical work.
Georgina currently works as a lead Sports Therapist for the Courtyard clinic in Malmesbury and as First Team Sports Therapist at Corsham Rugby Club, Dorset and Wiltshire and Devizes Ladies.
Following her passion for Medicine and First Aid Georgina completed her First Aid Instructor and Assessor qualification, and First Response in Emergency Care, along with an Award in Education and Training. Georgina has a keen interest in teaching and helping others to develop within the Sports and Medical Industry.
Georgina assists and teaches on many Core Elements Training courses, such as Pregnancy for Sports and Clinical Therapy, Hot Stones for Sport and Massage Therapy, Kinesiology Taping, Sports Taping and Strapping, Electrotherapy and Ultrasound and Rehabilitation for Sport and Exercise.
During the course:
Pregnancy for Sports and Clinical Therapy is highly practical accredited short course focused on the application of massage and wider techniques for the pregnant client.
After a brief introduction to the group, the day will be focused on:
- Physiology effects and benefits of massage for the pregnant client.
- Health and safety considerations and contraindications.
- Adapting pressure for the pregnant client.
- Using pillows and bolsters during treatment.
- Application of massage and adjusting client position during pregnancy.
- Benefits of Kinesiology Taping for specific conditions during pregnancy.
- Application of Kinesiology Taping within a rounded treatment for the pregnant client.
- The day will conclude with Q & A.
